Klondike Report

Posted by kenny.davis on Mar 5 2017 - 12:48pm

The scouts all did a great job at Klondike this year. I have posted up a few pictures, but you’ll probably notice most of them are the scouts huddling around the fire. There are two reason for this:

Nuclear Scouts

Posted by kenny.davis on Feb 16 2017 - 3:15pm

March 30th, 9 am – 10:30 am at Building 15, Denver Federal Center

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) operates a low–enriched uranium–fueled, pool–type reactor located at the Federal Center and Troop 808 is going to tour it during spring break. In keeping with the March theme of engineering the scouts will get to tour the facility, ask questions, and then participate in a radioactive half-life science project where the scientists place an object in the reactor, irradiate it, and the scouts will measure and plot out the radioactive decay. Should be fun and extra-science-y.

New Patrols!

Posted by kenny.davis on Feb 12 2017 - 9:55pm

At the February 9th meeting the PLC formed 2 patrols and designated which scouts would be in each. If you were not at the meeting, please check either the troop website or Scoutbook to see which patrol you are currently in. New Patrol Names and Leaders will be chosen at the Crash & Smash Bash, along with the design of the Patrol Patch. For ideas you can check out the Class B website with over 200 designs:
