PLC Meeting at Regular Troop Meeting 10/12

Posted by linda.fitzjarrell on Oct 7 2017 - 8:42am

This months Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) meeting will be held during the regular Troop meeting, allowing all scouts to see this important function of a Scout Led Troop. It is the members of the PLC who plan and carry out the program of our Troop. At the PLC's monthly meetings, the youth leaders plan, organize and assign activity responsibilities for the weekly troop meetings for the coming month. They also look ahead to see if they need to make any plans for future activities such as camping, service projects, and other special events. The PLC is composed of the SPL (Senior Patrol Leader), ASPL (Assistant Senior Patrol Leader), and all the Patrol Leaders. The Troop Scribe and SM (Scoutmaster) also attend, (as can ASM's, Committee Members, and others) but are not voting members of the PLC. If you have some ideas for meetings, outings, activities, service projects or other items that you would like to have considered, this will be a great time to get them to your Patrol Leader for consideration by the PLC.
